Cassidy Turley negotiated a 10,500-square-foot lease on behalf of The Weitz Company Arizona at Park One, 2111 E. Highland Ave. in Phoenix. Justin Himelstein and Jason France with Cassidy Turley’s Office Tenant Representation Group negotiated the transaction on behalf of Weitz. Brett Abramson with JLL represented the landlord McCarthy-Cook of Costa Mesa, CA.
Himelstein and France worked with The Weitz Company, relocating them from an office on Van Buren to the Camelback Corridor space to meet the company’s request for a more central location.
According to Himelstein, ―Weitz wanted a location that was in closer proximity to many of the Clients they do business with and offered quick access to SR-51. Park One’s location at 22nd Street and Highland fulfilled both of those requirements.‖ He added, ―With the new space, Weitz was able to design a more efficient, modern and collaborative work environment for their employees and they are going to be listed on Park One’s monument signage. The Weitz Company and their new landlord, McCarthy-Cook have worked together on several projects for Clients in the past, so moving into one of their buildings was a good fit for both companies.‖ The Weitz Company Arizona contractor office was established in 1978 and has over 60 full-time employees. As a Southwest construction company, their areas of expertise include retail, hospitality, golf and clubhouse, senior living, multi-unit residential, tenant improvement and office construction. Some of their more notable projects in Arizona include Barneys New York, Cityscape, Mayo Clinic Collaborative Research Building, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport Terminal 4 and SGA Corporate Center.
