PHOENIX, ARIZ. – Evergreen Devco, Inc., a leading retail and multifamily development company, announced its purchase of The Shops at Fry’s Ellsworth Plaza, located at 439 S. Ellsworth Road in Mesa.
“This acquisition is on the heels of our purchase of and construction commencement on the land at the southeast corner of Recker and Williams Field Roads in Gilbert for our new Fry’s Marketplace-anchored center, The Post at Cooley Station, and the soon-to-be completed Safeway-anchored center, The Point at Eastmark,” said Laura Ortiz, President at Evergreen Devco. “Evergreen is very active in the southeast valley and continues to seek out projects, large and small, in these vibrant and growing communities.”
With the purchase, Evergreen Devco will revitalize the mostly vacant 6,000-square-foot multi-tenant building within the 100,000-square-foot center by bringing in several new community-oriented restaurants and services. Construction for The Shops at Fry’s Ellsworth Plaza will begin in November with estimated tenant openings in March 2020.
Mike Ord and Dave Slaughter of D.L. Slaughter Company represented both the buyer and seller, Kroger.
