Ryley Carlock & Applewhite is pleased to announce that Lorena C. Van Assche has joined the firm’s Litigation Practice Group.

As a litigator, Van Assche aggressively protects and advances her clients’ interests. She helps business leaders confront and resolve a wide variety of disputes in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts. Her clients include financial institutions, lenders, commercial landlords, commercial tenants, developers, professionals, and entrepreneurs.

Van Assche is a passionate supporter of the Hispanic community. As a first-generation American whose first language is Spanish, she grew up in the border town of Yuma, Arizona and spent significant time across the border in Ciudad Morelos, Baja California, Mexico. Van Assche is actively involved in Los Abogados and the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Van Assche graduated cum laude from Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. She earned her B.S. in Accounting from ASU’s W.P. Carey School of Business and completed lower-division course work in th Barrett Honors College.
