Roscoe Property Management (RPM), a national leader in multifamily property management, announced today its expansion into the Arizona market through a merger with Phoenix-based Maverick Residential and the opening of a new regional office in Phoenix where plans are underway to aggressively expand the company’s Southwest portfolio.
Through this merger, RPM will acquire Maverick’s Phoenix multifamily properties totaling 1,750 apartment units and will grow to 1,100 nationwide team members overseeing a portfolio of more than 200 communities and 49,000 apartment units across Texas, Florida, Colorado and Arizona.
“The Phoenix-metro area has been part of our long-term, nationwide growth plan and this merger with Maverick Residential was a pivotal step in building our presence in the Arizona market,” said Jason Berkowitz, CEO and founder of RPM, headquartered in Austin, TX. “In Maverick, we see an impressive team with similar core values, a focus on innovative technology and a ‘people-centered’ approach to property management. Similarly, the recent Greystar acquisition of Alliance Residential presented an opportunity for RPM to hire some of the industry’s most seasoned executives with extensive multifamily experience, which increases RPM’s capabilities across the board.”
RPM’s new Phoenix-based executive team will be led by Rachel Davidson, executive vice president, who will oversee RPM’s national strategy bringing close to 30 years of experience in property management with a proven track record for bringing under-performing properties to a higher standard of operation. The team is rounded out by Scott Pechersky, senior vice president of technology, who has more than two decades of experience in technology systems and will head up RPM’s innovative technology solutions for property management; Alexis Vance, vice president of marketing, who carries close to 20 years of experience in strategic planning, marketing and revenue management and will guide a sophisticated team of strategists who set a new standard for ROI-focused marketing operations; and Jeff Krohn, former president of Maverick Residential, who will continue to oversee the organization’s portfolio under RPM as vice president of operations in the Southwest region.
“When I started Maverick Residential, I promised our team that we would always maintain a ‘people-first’ mentality and prioritize opportunities for career growth,” said Krohn. “In merging with RPM, we are able to expedite this on a much larger scale while providing operational excellence for our residents, investors and associates. The strategic alignment of RPM and Maverick will bolster the core strengths of both organizations who lead with a cultural mantra of placing our employees first.”
Earlier this year, RPM quietly began its venture into Arizona when it took over property management of The District at Scottsdale, the 332-residence luxury apartment community located near Kierland Commons and Scottsdale Quarter in North Scottsdale that boasts resort-like amenities, elevated design and upgraded finishes.
Founded by Jason Berkowitz in 2002, RPM has been rapidly expanding its nationwide platform into thriving markets. In 2019 alone, RPM added more than 50 communities to its management portfolio making it the third largest multifamily management company in Texas and an NMHC Top 50 Manager in the nation. RPM’s Phoenix office is located at 5090 N 40th St, Suite 190 in Phoenix. For more, visit RPMLiving.com.
